We were recently contacted by a customer experiencing a persistent water leak from an old freezer evaporator. Upon investigation, it became clear that the issue stemmed from a failed drip tray—a part that had unfortunately become obsolete.

• Commissioning a custom-made drip tray to replace the failed original
• Fitting a new drain to ensure proper water removal
• Implementing a temporary connection while awaiting a brass replacement for long-term durability
• Planning to disconnect the secondary external drain heater, which was found to be unnecessarily powerful for the current configuration

Outcome

By offering a bespoke repair, we extended the life of the existing system and saved the client from the cost and disruption of a full replacement. This case highlights our commitment to problem-solving and practical engineering, even when others suggest starting from scratch.
